Amanda Gorman

Hey! My name is Jalapena, but today you can call me Amanda Gorman.
Born in 1998 in Los Angeles, California and graduated from Harvard University.
I am an American Poet and activist who writes mainly about racial issues and feminism.
In 2015, I published my book “The One for Whom Food is Not Enough.”

In 2017, I was the first person to be named National Youth Poet Laureate.
In 2018, I was selected as one of Glamour Magazines “College Women of the Year”
And in 2021, I recited my poem “The Hill We Climb” at the inauguration Ceremony of the U.S. President Joe Biden and Vice-President Kamala Harris.

My ultimate goal is to run for President of the United States in 2036! I hope you vote for me!
